The Brown Bag Lunch Series (BBLS)

Speaking of herding, it’s difficult to get us all together, but Hyunjung Kim’s organized approach to Wednesday’s launch of the Fall 2015 Brown Bag Lunch Series drew considerable participation.

Ten new and not-new faculty participated in lively discussion to determine the goals and schedule of this semester's Series meetings. A schedule was established and enthusiastically adopted.  Highlights:

The primary purpose of the meetings is to support scholarly and professional activities. Formal contributors are invited to determine the sort of feedback they need from the audience and receive it.  As time permits, there will also be the opportunity to kick around general ideas and receive informal feedback. Schedules can get tight – it’s understood that some may need to pop in and out of the meeting.

Please mark your calendars and be part of the BBL Series when you are able. The schedule for this semester is every other Wednesday from 12-1 PM:  9/16, 9/30, 10/14, 10/28, 11/18, 12/2.

First presenter will be Jim Downing on the general topic of Rural Entrepreneurship.

But Wait, Jim Offers More to Us than a Presentation

Dr. Downing has graciously nominated and subsequently established himself as the Social Coordinator for the Department of Management.  A big thanks to Jim! The first get-together is Sept 18th. See the circulating COB email for details.

An exciting launch indeed at the College of Business – learning, leading, and lending-a-hand via herding and friendly collaboration.

Finally,

Curt DeBerg and Kent Sandoe have presented an app that will help us to learn students’ names.  Handy Student Face-Name Matching Tool, aka FaceFlip, is now available! Click here: The Brown Bag Lunch Series (BBLS)
